JALAYIRID DYNASTY GLAZED POTTERY JAR WITH ELONGATED NAKSH SCRIPT - Ca. 12th - 14th century AD. A glazed pottery jar of inverted pear-shaped body, rising from a ring foot. The broad shoulder leads to a wide opening with a slightly everted rim. The upper part of the body features a dark brown elongated Naksh script enclosed between sets of brown and bole red bands. Size: 180mm x 171mm ; Weight: 1kg Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1980s.
