PAIR OF SLIP-PAINTED CERAMICS - Ca. 11th - 12th century AD. A pair of ceramics, including a glazed ceramic shallow bowl with two superimposed six-pointed stars outlined in black with green glazed infill, and a glazed ceramic bowl with a large black calligraphic inscription on a cream ground. A black dot at the centre, etched with a cross, the inscription contains four separate large black letters or words. Size: 200mm in diameter; Weight: 795g Provenance: Previous property of an Islamic art professional. Previously apart of the Henri René d’Allemagne Collection, 1979, acquired by Ahuan U.K Ltd. from M. Roderick d’Allemagne, grandson of Henri René d’Allemagne (1836 - 1950.)
