EGYPTIAN PAINTED MASK - 25th Dynasty, Ca. 750 - 650 BC. A carved wooden sarcophagus mask in cedar, covered with gesso and gilt. Idealised facial features with a long thin nose, pursed lips, wide almond-shaped eyes and wearing a striped headdress. His facial expression is one of extreme serenity.
