EARLY GREEK / WESTERN ASIATIC/AEGEAN BRONZE SWORD - Ca. 1200 - 800 BC.A cast bronze sword featuring a robust blade with sharpened edges and a raised midrib on both sides. The grooves in the handle allow for a better grip, while the recessed lunate pommel may have been adorned with a decorative inlay. Over the millennia, even layers of green patina have developed on the surfaces of the weapon.
