PAIR OF GREEK TERRACOTTA STATUETTE - Ca. 400 - 250 BC.A pair of Hellenistic mold-made terracotta figures of a standing woman of fashion. The first wears a long chiton and has her himation wrapped tightly around her body, covering her hands. Her hair is arranged in a wide chignon at the nape of her neck. The remains of white pigment are visible on much of the figure. The second, made in orange clay, wears a long chiton with a belt under the breast. Her hair is arranged mainly on the side of the head and covers her neck. She holds a floral wreath in her left hand and probably a musical instrument in her right.
