GNATHIAN SQUAT LEKYTHOS - Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A delightful terracotta squat lekythos featuring a globular body on a flat base and a vertical handle, adorned with geometric and foliate motifs in white on a black ground around a bust of a lady of fashion facing left. The face is made in a naturalistic manner. The vessel displays lustrous areas of silvery iridescence that enhance its elegant form.
