RARE EGYPTIAN GRANITE FACE OF A OFFICIAL - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A head of a male figure carved from granite, with an age-darkened surface. The piece exhibits traditional elongated eyes and a bulbous bag wig characteristic of Late Period Egypt. The serene expression includes almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose, and sunken cheeks, beneath a smooth wig positioned behind the ears. Size: 195mm x 180mm; Weight: 3.06kg. Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the French market in the 1970s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
