A gold pendant comprising a gold frame adorned with a gold thread on the border to secure a carved red agate scarab of ovoid form with naturalistic features. Beneath the domed insect is a hieroglyphic cryptographic inscription. Size: 35mm x 25mm; Weight: 15g. Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s.
