ROMANO-EGYPTIAN GOLD RING DEPICTING BUST OF SERAPIS - Ca. 200 BC - AD 100. An attractive gold ring with a tapering plain hoop surmounted by a moulded decoration, in the shape of a bust of Serapis with the modus on his head. The god is depicted with large shoulders, a big beard and long hair. This type of ring made its appearance in late Hellenistic times.
