ATTIC RED-FIGURE KYLIX WITH ORACLE SCENE FROM THE CIRCLE OF DOURIS - TL TESTED - Ca. 470 - 450 BC. An exemplary pottery kylix adorned with red-figure decoration of an oracle scene. The scene depicts a seated youth on an elegant chair, wearing a large himation, holding a long wooden stick in his right hand and a small bag in his left. To the right, a standing woman draped in a large folded himation is depicted. The scene is framed by a staggered meander motif border. The exterior walls is decorated with ten naked athletes in various poses. For similar see: Caskey L. D., Beazley J.
