BEAUTIFUL HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA APHRODITE - Ca. 3rd - 2nd century BC. A terracotta statue of a nude female, possibly representing Aphrodite. The figure is depicted in a standing pose, with one arm raised slightly outward and the other resting over a draped cloth that cascades down her body, covering most of her right leg, suggesting a motion akin to undressing. Her posture is fluid, implying slight movement. Her expression is serene and neutral, with her hair styled in a chignon. The statue has a light brownish-orange hue and rests on a circular base integral to the figure. Size: 340mm x 110mm; Weight: 800g.
