A PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE TILES - Old Kingdom, 3rd Dynasty, Ca. 2686 - 2613 BC. A pair of two rectangular tiles from a wall decoration, made of siliceous earth with a turquoise glaze. The surfaces remain in beautiful preservation. Identical tiles have been discovered in the funerary complex of Djoser at Saqqara.
