COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN STONE SCARABS - Ca. 2055 - 332 BC.A collection of four scarabs in glazed steatite and lapis lazuli of ovoid form with naturalistic features. Beneath the domed insects are hieroglyphic inscriptions and the typical symbols of the Middle Kingdom. A suspension hole is drilled lengthwise through the body, for mounting on a necklace or a swivel ring.
