EGYPTIAN BLACK STONE SCARAB - Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A scarab with an ovoid body, carved from black stone, presenting pleasingly smooth surfaces. The topside of the insectile amulet features a folded wing carapace with incised striations, delineated legs with frilled tips, a semicircular head, and a serrated frontal clypeus.
