A PAIR OF EGYPTIAN SERPENTINE VESSELS - Old Kingdom, 3rd Dynasty, Ca. 2686 - 2613 BC. A pair of shallow stone bowls. The first is made of black stone with white veins and has a flat base and almost vertical high walls. The second is made of white stone with black points and has a flat base and short walls. Size: 45-58mm x 15-30mm; Weight: 130g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014, acquired in 2008 from a UK private collection formed in the 1970s to 1990s.
