HUGE ROMAN GREEN GLASS OINOCHOE - 10"
Ca. AD 300 - 500. A lovely Roman mold-blown translucent glass oinochoe with a round base, a globular body and a rounded shoulder. The shoulder tapers to a narrow tubular neck with a trefoil rim and a wide applied strap handle joining the neck to the shoulder. The vessel has a bright silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
