EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN AMULET OF BASTET - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC.A carnelian amulet depicting the goddess Bastet in feline form. The figure is seated on its haunches atop an integral flat base, with the front limbs defined by a shallow groove. The small head features pointed ears, deeply recessed eyes, and a horizontal incision marking the mouth.
