EGYPTIAN GREEN FAIENCE SCARAB WITH CARTOUCHE PSAMTIK II - Ca. 595 - 589 BC.A green glazed steatite scarab with an oval-shaped body featuring detailed elements, including a convex back modelled with a prominent pronotum and elytra delineated by incised lines. The thorax is decorated with striations running parallel to the body’s length. The scarab's head is slightly raised, detailed with a shell-like crest and small angular grooves along the sides, representing mandibles. Surrounding the edges of the beetle are irregular serrations mimicking the natural texture of a beetle’s legs.
