PAIR OF MATCHING GREEK GOLD EARRINGS - Ca. 600 - 400 BC. A stunning pair of gold earrings, each presenting a boat-shaped hollow body. The body begins with a narrow end pointing upward, widens to the centre, and then narrows to an end that boasts applied wirework spirals, and volutes. The wire-like hook rises up from this end and curves back, tapering slightly to fit through the earlobe. These earrings showcase a warm patina.
