ETRUSCAN BLACK GLAZED POTTERY VASE - Ca. 6th - 5th century BC. A black-glazed pottery baluster-form vessel with an ancient piece of lead adhered to the base. The body is decorated with faint stippled bands. The piece has a minor chip on the base rim and scattered light paint flakes but is otherwise intact. Size: 160mm x 95mm; Weight: 300g Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex. Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, NJ., Dr. Arnold Saslow. Acquired at a London auction, 1979-1980.
