PAIR OF MATCHING CELTIC BRONZE BROOCHES WITH SPIRALS - Ca. 800 BC. A pair of matching brooches of round wire with two coiled spiral discs. Connected to the spirals is an eight loop. A wire needle originates from a spiral eye. A hook-formed bent wire end on the finial. Size: 170-190mm x 115-120mm; Weight: 505g Provenance: Property of a European collector; formerly in the famous Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister; acquired between the early1960s-1990s.
