LATE ROMAN GOLD RING WITH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING WARRIOR AND WAR TROPHY - Ca. AD 200 - 400. An oval-shaped carnelian intaglio depicting a youthful warrior standing with his left leg raised on a rock. The figure is nude, with a circular shield positioned before him and a war trophy carried on his back. The intaglio is set within a gold ring with an oval bezel framed by a twisted gold rope border.
