BYZANTINE TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP WITH CROSS - Ca. AD 400 - 600. A pear-shaped pottery oil lamp with decorative moulding and a cross on the spout. It also has a central hole to fill the vessel with oil and a smaller hole in the spout for a wick. It features a lug handle at the rear for easy carrying.
