HUGE EGYPTIAN FAIENCE WEDJET AMULET - Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1070 BC - 656 BC. A blue faience wedjat amulet with a flat, circular form and a recessed square panel at the centre. The panel is divided into four quadrants by intersecting vertical and horizontal bars, each containing a raised wedjat eye. Each is framed by curving extensions forming stylised brows and cosmetic lines. Mounted on a custom-made display stand. For similar see: The Art Institute of Chicago, Reference Number 1892.184.
