VERY RARE ATTIC BRONZE HELMET WITH SILVER PLUME - Ca. 300 BC. A very rare bronze helmet with a rounded skull and a slightly flaring brim extending outward along the front and the rear. A raised ridge runs along the upper edge of the brow, curving over the front section and terminating in volute-shaped projections at the temples. A silver twisted plume is affixed at the crown, rising vertically with a spiralling form. Small rivets are positioned along the lower edge, likely for securing an internal lining or additional attachments. For similar see: Museo archeologico nazionale di Madrid, Identifier AKG1324156.
