RARE GREEK SILVER OINOCHOE WITH WINGED LIONS - Ca. 500 BC. A silver oinochoe with a pear-shaped body that tapers towards a narrow neck and expands into a wide, flaring rim. The vessel stands on a circular foot with a flat, broad base. A prominent vertical handle extends from the rim to the shoulder, curving outward and terminating in a detailed lion head attachment with deeply incised features. A horizontal decorative band encircles the lower section of the body, engraved with winged lions in profile, alternating with symmetrical palmette motifs.Size: 190mm x 100mm; Weight: 340gProvenance: Private London collection; ex.
