RARE EGYPTIAN FAIENCE PLAQUE OF BES IN 'ASSYRIAN' DRESS - Late Period, 664 - 30 BC. A pale green faience relief intarsio plaque in a form of the god Bes draped in a long “Assyrian” tunic with the edges adorned with inlaid gemstones. The face is represented frontally with long curly beard and marked facial features. This plaque is probably of “Phoenician” production.
