A CANTAGALLI LUSTREWARE VASE
Italy, Ca. Late 19th century AD. A Cantagalli lustreware jug decorated in a deep ruby-red glaze with intricate foliate and geometric motifs. The ovoid body features finely painted leaf designs set within diamond-shaped panels, characteristic of the Italian Renaissance revival style that Cantagalli was renowned for. The slender neck, adorned with delicate star and rosette patterns leading to a slightly flared rim and curved handle.Size: 230mm x 140mm; Weight: 730gProvenance: Previous property of a UK based Islamic art professional.
