AN OTTOMAN BRONZE SILVER-PLATED HANDLE OF SWORD
Ottoman, Turkey, Ca. Mid 17th - Early 18th century . A silver-plated bronze sword hilt cast from a single piece and features a horizontal guard that ends in two hemispherical shapes. The grip has a central swelling, which makes it easier to handle. The pommel consists of a broad disc topped with a small dome.
