AN ISLAMIC ENGRAVED BRONZE RING WITH GEOMETRIC AND SCROLL DECORATION
Ca. 12th century AD. A cast bronze ring with a prominent hexagonal bezel displaying a raised central design of interlocking abstract elements around an almond-shaped form. Engraved scrollwork with vegetal motifs decorates the bezel and shoulders, while the shank bears intertwining patterns.For similar see: Spink & Son, Islamic Rings and Talismans, London, 198.
