EARLY GREEK / WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE SWORD - Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A cast bronze sword with a sharply tapering blade and a raised central ridge running the full length to a pointed tip. Broad shoulders drop into a short guard above a cylindrical grip with moulded collars. The hilt terminates in a pommel made from a thin bronze sheet shaped into a rounded cap, surmounted by a spherical finial.
