MESOPOTAMIAN MACE HEAD WITH ANIMALS - Ca. 3000 - 2700 BC. A stone mace head carved in a rounded form with relief representations of three animals in procession: a horse, a lion, and an elephant. Each figure is rendered in profile, advancing in the same direction around the circumference. The central perforation is cylindrical and wide.
