INDUS VALLEY TERRACOTTA BIRD IDOL - Ca. 3000 - 2500 BC. A terracotta figurine depicting a highly abstract anthropomorphic figure with an elongated head, narrowing into a beak-like form with incised circular eyes. The arms are bent at the elbows and held across the chest, with linear impressions mimicking the fingers. The neck is adorned with a series of raised bands and beaded collars.
