EGYPTIAN ROCK-CRYSTAL QUADRUPED SHAPED PENDANT - Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A small amulet carved from translucent rock crystal in the form of a quadruped with a rounded body and short legs. The head is large in proportion to the body, with incised circular eyes and shallow grooves suggesting facial features. A pierced suspension loop rises from the back.Size: 32mm x 21mm; Weight: 11gProvenance: Private London collection; previously acquired from a Belgian collection (1980s-1990s).
