MAGNIFICENT EGYPTIAN AGATE MACE HEAD - Predynastic, Ca. 3600 - 3100 BC. A mace head of banded agate with a central perforation drilled lengthwise. The surface displays natural inclusions and layered bands in shades of translucent grey, white, and brown. The form is smoothly polished, tapering slightly towards one end.
