EGYPTIAN GRANITE GRINDER - Predynastic, Ca. 3600 - 3100 BC. A two-part granite grinder consisting of a lower section with a deep conical cavity and an upper section with a matching conical projection. The exterior of both parts is shaped into thick, cylindrical forms with slightly convex sides. Size: 95mm x 95mm; Weight: 1.66kg Provenance: Private London collection; previously in a 1980s Mayfair Family private collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
