ROMANO - EGYPTIAN GLASS INLAY DEPICTING DYONISUS - Ca. 30 BC - AD 200. A glass inlay fragment with a polychrome depiction of Dionysus, shown with a beard, laurel wreath, and draped garment. The figure is rendered in vivid red, black, and green tones against a pale, translucent ground. The reverse is similarly worked. Size: 25mm x 25mm; Weight: 10g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Holland art market in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
