EGYPTIAN HIGH KARAT GOLD PENDANT WITH AMETHYST SCARAB DEPICTING GRASSHOPPER - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A gold pendant with an amethyst scarab, set within a rounded bezel with two spherical terminals. A coiled gold wire arch connects to a large suspension loop at the midsection. The underside of the scarab features an engraved image of a grasshopper with an elongated body and delicate legs.For similar see: S.
