EGYPTIAN WOODEN ROWER - Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1069 BC. A wooden figure of a rower with a squared lower section. The figure is painted red with black hair and white and black on the eyes. The face is broad and stylised, and the short hair is rendered as a rounded cap extending evenly around the head. Both arms have dowel holes visible at the shoulders.For similar see: P. Giovetti, D.
