COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARABS - Second Intermediate Period, Ca. 1790 - 1550. A collection of four scarabs. The one on the left is the largest, with a detailed carapace and incised lines on the elytra. Its underside bears a hieroglyphic inscription. The second scarab is smaller, with a plain, rounded back and an underside decorated with a symmetrical scroll motif. The third is more compact, with a finely incised beetle form and featuring an engraved sphinx on the underside.
