PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA MALE FIGURE IN A MARCHING POSE CARRYING OFFERINGS ON HIS SHOULDER - TL TESTED - Ca. 6th - 4th century BCA seated figure of a man, dressed in a classical tunic and wearing a classical hairstyle, shown enthroned. This terracotta belongs to a group of Phoenician figures discovered underwater in the 1950s, possibly votive offerings from Phoenician temples representing Phoenicians and their principal activities.Size: 62 cm.Provenance: Private European collection of Ancient Art; Ex Private Spanish Collection; Previously in the Selim Haddad Collection, Beirut, 1970s.
