PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA FEMALE FIGURE DRESSED IN THE GREEK STYLE - Ca. 6th - 4th century BC A terracotta sculpture depicting a female figure dressed in a classical-style tunic and with a similarly styled coiffure. The piece belongs to a group of terracottas recovered from an underwater context in the 1950s, likely originating from Phoenician temples and representing individuals and principal activities in the form of votive figures. Size: 73 cm. Provenance: Private European collection of Ancient Art; Ex Private Spanish Collection; Previously in the Selim Haddad Collection, Beirut, 1970s.
