PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA MALE FIGURE ORIGINALLY WITH BOTH ARMS RAISED - Ca. 6th - 4th century BC A terracotta sculpture depicting a male figure wearing a classical-style tunic and bearing a similarly styled coiffure. This figure belongs to a group of Phoenician terracottas recovered from an underwater context during the 1950s. These pieces likely originated from Phoenician temples and may have functioned as votive sculptures representing individuals and key aspects of Phoenician life. Size: 72 cm.
