OUTSTANDING EGYPTIAN GRANITE BUST OF A GODDESS
New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, Reign of Sety I or early years of Ramesses II, Ca. 1290 - 1270 BC. A red granite bust depicting a goddess, shown wearing a tripartite wig finely incised with narrow, parallel grooves. Her face is oval with high cheekbones, large almond-shaped eyes beneath gently arched brows, and a straight nose. Traces of a broad, striated collar are visible across the upper chest.
