COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE NECKLACES - Middle Kingdom to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 2055 - 30 BC. A collection of six restrung faience necklaces. The one on the left is composed of vibrant blue faience disc and globular beads, interspersed with red carnelian spheres; the second consists of annular ribbed beads in the upper section and green and blue in the bottom; the third comprises four loosely bundled strands of yellow-green tubular faience beads interspersed with small discs; the fourth is formed of brownish-black biconical faience beads, spaced with small discs; the fifth is composed of dark spherical beads interspersed with contrasting tubular and rectangular faience beads; the sixth is a single-stranded necklace with alternating sections of green, turquoise, and cobalt beads in globular, disc, and tubular shapes.
