CHALCIDIAN BRONZE HELMET - Ca. 500 BC. A bronze helmet of Chalcidian type, with a high crown and a reinforced horizontal ridge running around the circumference. A pronounced raised band extends above the brow, curving upward at the centre. The front features arched eye openings and a short, downward-sloping nasal guard. Hinged cheek guards extend from either side.
