PALMYRIAN LIMESTONE CROWNED PRINCE EX CHRISTIE'S - Roman Period, Ca. 200 BC - AD 100. A limestone figure of a youth standing on an integral rectangular base, clad in a long himation falling in cascading folds. His right hand is brought across the chest, grasping the edge of the garment, while the left arm hangs along the body. The youthful face is rendered with large almond-shaped eyes, a small mouth, and softly modelled cheeks. The hair is arranged in short, stylised locks encircled by a laurel wreath.For similar see: A.
