LARGE COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN BEADS
New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1550 - 664 BC. A collection of beads in glass, faience, and stone. At upper left, a group of cobalt to violet-blue glass beads, predominantly elongated and tapering, pierced longitudinally. At centre top, a large assemblage of red stone beads - likely jasper - of cylindrical and disc form. At upper right, a varied group of faience beads in turquoise and pale blue, mostly flat and discoid, with occasional cylindrical forms. At lower left, a small selection of light-toned faience beads, including double ring shapes. At the lower right, a group of stone cylindrical beads with slightly tapering ends.
