EXCEPTIONAL CHINESE HAN DYNASTY GLASS BEAKER - Ca. 206 BC - AD 220. An elegantly flared beaker with a waisted midsection, made of vibrant blue-green glass. Horizontal tooling marks encircle the lower body, giving subtle decorative articulation. Glassmaking was relatively rare and reserved for elite use during the Han dynasty. Vessels like this, often recovered from tombs, are believed to have held ritual significance or emulated contemporary bronze and lacquer wares in form. Size: 125mm x 90mm; Weight: 230g.
