CHINESE BRONZE DING CENSER - Ming Dynasty, Ca. 1368 - 1644. A bronze ding censer cast in archaistic form. The censer is supported on three tapering legs emerging from lion-mask mounts, the compressed globular body rising to a waisted neck and a flared rim set with a pair of prominent upright handles in the manner of ancient ritual ding vessels.
